Hike policy
Please note that Sitka Trail Works is not a commercial guiding service; our mission is in providing unique opportunities for the community to gather, connect, and explore the outdoors together. Because these are volunteer-led group activities, participants are responsible for their own safety. Please be aware of each trail’s difficulty and your own physical abilities, as we do reserve the right to turn around any guest to preserve their safety. All hikers must sign a liability waiver upon registering, and minors (17 and under) must be accompanied by an adult with a waiver signed by a legal guardian. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on road-system hikes but must be leashed where required or upon request of the hike leader; please note that neither dogs nor firearms are permitted on off-island hikes.
Please read additional policies & full hike information when booking any ticketed hikes. Contact us with any questions.
