Sitka Trail Works is hosting a volunteer trail maintenance event at the Sawmill Creek Road separated path. Everyone is invited to help pull alders on Sunday, August 2 starting at 1:30pm. Meet at the gravel parking lot about a quarter mile after Whale Park on the left side of the road (shown below).
Please bring water and work gloves. Tools and a limited number of gloves will be provided. A mandatory COVID-19 pre-screening questionnaire and a liability waiver must be completed prior to participation. Social distancing between different household groups is highly encouraged and volunteers may work on different areas of the path. Face covering are also encouraged. Teens wishing to help must come with an adult & have a liability waiver signed by their legal guardian. For further information please call our office at 747-7244 during the workweek.
