We’re kicking off the summer hike season and commemorating National Bike Month with a free bike tour, led by Sitka Trail Works board member Doug Osborne, on the Cross Trail.
Everyone is invited to join the ride on Saturday, May 8th at 1:30 p.m. starting at the Salty Spoke Bike Coop behind the Hames Center. Come a bit early if you need some help getting your bike tuned up; Salty Spoke opens up at 11:00 a.m. Save time and paper by signing the trip waiver in advance here.
The ride is approximately 5 miles to Sitka High and back. Riders will have the opportunity to learn about and tour the new mountain bike trails under construction behind the High School. Thanks to the Sitka Cycling Club for their volunteer trail construction!
