Sitka Trail Works’ Storm Repairs Complete

Mosquito Cove Trail Storm Damage
Trail Repaired

Thanks to your generosity we were able to make trail repairs!

A deep sink hole developed along the Mosquito Cove Trail during a 3” rainfall event in October.

As you may know, Sitka Trail Works has been completing maintenance projects on the popular Mosquito Cove Trail since Alaska State Parks cut funding for a local position and office.   Phase II trail upgrades had just been completed by US Forest Service Trail Crew in September, before the storm.

Sitka Trail Works employees Jerad and Trent Bayne recently made repairs to the sink hole & also removed a fallen tree.

Your membership is critical to support our mission to help maintain Sitka’s trails.  Your generosity allows STW to continue these efforts.
