Update 11/26 The U.S. Forest Service Trail Crew along with Sitka Trail Works has cleared the fallen logs along the Mosquito Cove Trail. The Mosquito Cove Trail is now passable. We continue to urge all trail users to use caution on the trail, especially on the ocean side of the loop & during high winds.

Sitka Trail Works has received reports of a major blowdown on Mosquito Cove Trail. The ocean side of the trail is impassable due to this mass of fallen trees & there are additional downed trees in multiple other spots.  We advise hikers to avoid the affected areas.
